FOREHAND MECHANICS
Notice from the ready position both hands and the racket point to12 o'clock.
How far both hands and the racket deviate from this starting position, determines
if a player is truly compact.
The 3 different levels of play:
1. Beginners - Furthest distance from ready/starting position.
2. Intermediate - Not as far as the beginner, yet still not compact.
3. Advanced - Least amount of take back/take away from ready/starting position.
The advanced player essentially shifts the ready position at 12 o'clock to 3 o' clock,
simply by rotating their trunk, followed by a compact take back from that position.
Also, the non-dominant hand stays pointing at 3 o'clock, until ready to strike.
When experts comment that a player is compact, they are not referring to how far
the racket travels, but how far it travels away from the 12 o'clock ready/start position.
